Power of the Flower: Rudbeckia/Black Eyed Susan
My name is Susan, perhaps why I have a liking for this flower. This painting has circuitous essence. I photographed flowers on special travels or in my garden. then rendered digital depictions into mosaic designs using Artaic software. After that, came another translation with brush and oil paint onto birch. While painting, I let spontaneity and personal style take over, exactitude seeming to matter less than whimsy, color, and instinct. Getting back to nature is an important part of this process, wood as substrate intentional.
