Self-Help in Pastel

Ink, Watercolor, Pastel, No Words, Hearts, Hearts - No Words

Pastels can be messy, and aren't recommended for everyone or every setting. Also, health and safety issues might be a little more obvious with them than with other materials. That said, if you're in your own quiet space and place, they can be fun to pass the time with, experimenting and playing. It can be relaxing to blend colors and see how they merge. It can also be interesting to see how different colored backgrounds and textures help particular shades and shapes stand out. You don't always know what the final look will be, and are forced to lose some control. Most of these doodles where created outside of lectures and retreats. I actually put time aside that I dedicated to their development. No multi-tasking here!
